Childnet, the UK-based charity working to make the internet a great and safe place for children and young people, are inviting young people who attend school outside of the UK to showcase their creative skills and online safety knowledge by entering the International category of the Childnet Film Competition.
Now in its 13th year, the Childnet Film Competition invites young people across the UK to create a short film or storyboard focusing on a specific online safety theme each year. This year, the theme is All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online. What can we all do to play our part?
Launched last year, the International category of the competition received entries from around the world, including schools in Mexico, Myanmar, Ireland, India, Turkey and Moldova.
The competition is now open, and schools have until Wednesday 22nd June 2022 to submit their videos. The winners will be announced on Monday 27th July 2022.
The International entry form, media consent form, frequently asked questions, terms and conditions, planning sheet and a handy ‘understanding the theme’ guide for educators are all available on the The Childnet Film Competition International category webpage.
Educators must enter films and entry documents on students’ behalf, using WeTransfer or Dropbox. Please send these to international@childnet.com
